What are you wearing today?

Trying to figure out what to wear each day can sometimes pose a challenge.  We often have to factor many variables into our choice include the weather, our daily schedule and our mood.  If you are like me, there are a few favorites that I wear from week to week.  Over the years, comfort has become king.  Though I have been blessed with closets full of clothes, out of habit and routine, I often select the outfits that provide the most comfort, even if I find myself rotating them time and time again. 

My sister, who is a Certified Image Consultant, has often encouraged me to get outside of my comfort zone and wear some of the things that i don't normally rock.  Yet and still, I tend to lean towards the things that are most familiar and comfortable.

Well, as I make this Priceless Post this morning, I am reminded that many women and girls make the same kinds of familiar decisions when it comes to their level of confidence.  Often times, when we wake up in the morning, we have a choice in how we will face the day ahead.  For some, we roll out of bed with our minds overwhelmed at the task ahead, and thoughts of regret, insecurity and doubt.  This has become the default for many and what is most familiar and comfortable, so as a result we cloth our mind and spirit with those feelings of defeat as we go throughout our day. 

Just as we are provided grace, mercy and new opportunities each day, we have a choice to place our feet on the ground, thank God for the day ahead, and make a decision to clothe ourselves in confidence.  Knowing without a doubt the things that we face in the day ahead, God has already prepared us for.  We must be intentional about reminding ourselves of WHO and WHOSE we are. As I love to say, we are Daughters of the King and through Him we can do anything!!! ​​

PRICELESS PRAYER

Lord God,  I thank you for this day and for equipping me with all I need for the tasks ahead.  I choose to cloth myself in confidence today knowing that you will be with me.   Your word says that you will never leave or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5) , so I can rest assure that anything that I face today, you will  provide the guidance and wisdom that I need.  I make a decision to walk with you as you help me become all you created me to be.
