![]() Are you wishing or working? That's the question of the day. I know the question is a little harsh this Monday morning, but I have come to realize when it comes to these two they can often be confused. For many (including myself at times), a dream can come alive in our spirit and we begin to develop the faith to see it realized. Whether is it is a dream of starting a business, writing a book, creating a healthy lifestyle or nurturing a special relationship. We envision the joy it will bring when we achieve our goals and we get excited about the possibilities . . . but that's where it stops. Soon the realities and pressures of life move in causing those thoughts of joy be placed in a proverbial box on the shelf with all the others dreams and wishes for your life. I challenge you today to take a moment to pause and ask yourself, "Do you really want it?" I mean to you REALLY want it or is it just something you are holding on to? Is that thing you placed on the shelf important enough for you to you unpack it, dust it off and to breathe life back into it? Is it worth it? Does it matter? Will it provide the joy and satisfaction you have so longed for? Well, if the answer to any of those questions is "yes", then you have to move from WISHING to actually WORKING. Yes, I know now is not a good time. And I also know there aren't enough hours in the day. I know the task seems overwhelming and you have given yourself countless reasons why you can't. Now that we have gotten all that out of the way, let's move forward. If you have decided it will bring joy, satisfactions and fulfillment it's time to roll your sleeves up sweetheart and get to work.
I challenge you today to ask yourself what ONE THING can you do today or this week to move the needle forward. No matter how small. it may be making an appointment, writing the first paragraph of your book, telling a friend who will encourage you and hold you accountable. It may be making the investment in the workshop, course or book you need to stretch yourself and stir up your gifts. It may simply require you to step out and find out. What are you willing to do? Anytime we are moving forward in pursing a dream, we can be overwhelmed by a mix of emotion. It's it important for us to press forward and take one step at a time. With each step we take, God will meet us with the answers and guidance we need. Remember, whatever your dream, it's bigger than you. There is likely someone else connected to your dream or someone who will be blessed by it who is waiting for you to get into position and make it a reality. Let's go!!!
