Take The First Step

The first step is often the hardest step. If you are like me, sometimes when God gives you a vision it can be a little overwhelming. When you begin to look at where you are in comparison to where He wants to take you, you can be paralyzed by fear if you aren't careful.

I was reminded this morning, that God isn't expecting me to go from 0 to 10 over night, so i shouldn't place that type of pressure on myself, nor should you. He is simply waiting on us to take the first step. He will give us grace for the step we are on as He prepares us for every step ahead.

Be encouraged today and take the first step towards your destiny.

Say a Prayer, Make a Plan and Just Do It

I know it is much easier to make excuses of all the reasons why you "can't". Why you can't start that business, write that book, take that course, get out of that toxic relationship or loose that weight. Even though the end game is GREAT, we stay stuck. Stuck in the same position, doing the same thing and getting the same results. Last I heard, that was called insanity.

Don't let another day pass by. Quit making excuses and make the changes necessary to make your dreams a reality. Don't put it off another day. Newsflash, time is ticking sweetheart. In case you weren't aware, time stops for no one.

Complaining about it doesn't work either. Your friends and family are tired of hearing the excuses and chances are you are even more tired of hearing yourself complain. And if you happen to be one who keeps your complaints between you and God, I have no doubt He has heard enough too. The reality is if God placed a dream or passion in your heart, He has already provided everything you need. If you stand in need of wisdom, He's got it! If you need resources, He's got it! If you need strength to press through, He's got it!

Whining about it, crying about it, believing you can't, worrying and waiting doesn't work either. Today I challenge you to suck it up, hold on tight, say a prayer, make a plan and JUST DO IT!

The Best Year Ever

Can you believe we are midway through the first month of a new year? I am always amazed and amused at how easy it is to come up with a long lists of things we want to change or do different in a new year. Whether it's to loose weight, save money or to grow spiritually.

Some of us make wonderful color coded lists, others create beautiful visions boards or daily affirmations. I am in no way criticizing our efforts (mine included). However, I am clear that in order for us to experience change we have to do more. The reality is we have to do something different in order to get something different.

When I look at my own personal track record, there have been years where I have fallen short of my goals and aspiration. On the other hand, there have been years when I have seen God exceed my expectations as He has taken me to heights unimaginable.. Can you relate?

Well, I can't do anything about the past, but I can do a few things as I move into 2018 and I invite you to do the same:

Make a commitment to do our part when it comes to seeing the changes we want to see in our lives. Once we do our part we can believe God to do His part.
Be careful about the words we speak to ourselves, speak about others, or speak about our situation.
Be intentional about how we spend our time and who we spend it with. I am personally committed to spending more time to nurture my spirit and nurture my relationships.
Commit to enjoying this journey called life.
Lastly, enjoy the year ahead. Although we can't control others nor can we control the unforeseen things to come.

I am convinced, if we do our part, wake up daily committed to the cause, and seek the will and wisdom of God in all things...this year will be our best year ever.
